The centre comprises nearly 300,000 st ft of mainly high bay warehousing, highly computerised and relying heavily on wire-guidance systems for trucking to and from the picking area.
Extensive offices and staff facilities have very high quality finishes, and the complex also includes vehicle washing and fuelling bays, together with extensive landscaping.
A unique feature of the project is that the dynamic loads on the structure are constantly monitored by micro pressure sensors built into the foundation design under each primary steelwork column.
