Forming part of a larger project, the new build extension to West Building, the new School of Journalism & Media comprises two television studios and control rooms together with editing suites for sound, vision and journalism.
Also included in the scheme are sound recording studios together with a variety of multi-purpose teaching spaces. Office space and sound control rooms complete the development.
Having developed detailed design proposals for the project, Darnton Elgee were subsequently novated to the successful contractor under a Design, Manage and Construct contract.
