| A project to improve storage and archiving facilities and access for research and public purposes at the National Railway Museum, York.
The project consists of reconfiguring existing collections spaces, reading rooms, research areas and public gallery to improve environmental conditions as well as access.
The project also includes improving the environmental credentials of the site together with improving internal and external aesthetics. Specific environmentally controlled spaces are created for objects including glass negatives, paper storage, uniforms, tickets, paintings and rail memorabilia.
Related office and conferencing facilities are also included. |
