Darnton Elgee were appointed as architects for the feasibility design of a new centre for the RSCPA.

The scheme provides animal accommodation, comfortable hospital units and faciliites in keeping with the very best modern practices in animal welfare.

The Education centre would provide courses closely linked to Key Stages II and III. Associated new build elements of the scheme provide an Animal Care Centre and wardens accommodation.

The design approach was one of sustainability and environmental friendliness, with new build elements including natural turf roofing materials.
